Hey!!! I'm finally 21 five days ago!! WOOO!!! but thats not really a good thing for me is it? I'm growing older after all. hehe. Been extremely lazy lately, and assignments have already been piling up my timetable and it should be the same for everyone else in Uni and I stand side by side with you too...uhhh....do nothing about it and finish it on time :p
Well first of all, thank you to those who wished me a happy birthday on friendster, real life, SMS, or whatever way you did it: a big thank you to you all. Oh and the presents I got too!!! They are great. If those of you that haven't got me one and planning to get one, go get it!!! heh, joking la. I don't need presents to make me happy :)
Lets see what happened on my party. Almost everyone I invited showed up which is about 20 of you and I was suppose to get drunk on my 21st birthday but I decided not to since I had to work the next day. But Jed got drunk in place of me by drinking down a whole glass of pure Scotch and had somemore drinks before that and after too!! Crazy man~~ but a cool guy and a good friend. So is everyone else. Thank you for showing up. Of course I was enjoying myself that night as most of you saw me smiling until that annoying Neighbour came up and complained, then he kinda killed it there and I wish I could have whacked him for doing that. What's done is done and at least everyone else was enjoying themselves.
If you were interested in the work I was doing, well, its an experience of a lifetime. I had to work for Bretts Wharf in a Virgin Blue Ball night thanks to Joanne for that and we had 2700 people showing up for the event. It was pretty huge and the pay was good too. LOL. Richard Branson was there but I didn't get to talk to him or anything. But a friend I met there, Anja, was serving him at his table along with Peter Beatie and his wife I think. Anja told me her experience talking with him and even got an autograph from him and kiss on the cheek. I would love to get an autograph and talk to him, but not a kiss :p I don't think he will even do that in the first place if I was working on that table.
Anyways, I should be doing my assignment now so I'll bid you all farewell for the time being :)

Yoooo~~ Wassup???!??!? How are you all feeling? Well, its been a while since I last blogged because I was lazy to do so, and I would say that I am bad at writing anyways. Not much humour or pictures to make it more interesting and everytime I blog, its usually something to do with my everyday life. BORINGGG~~~ to me anyways. How to make things interesting? Put crazy news like I did in my last post? hmmm...wat to do, wat to do?? Heh, I think I know what you guys are going to say...just be yourself and write what you want. It is your blog after all. Am I right?
Anyways, I injured my wrist for almost over 3 weeks now and it has not heal yet which I hope it would so I can do gym peacefully without pain preventing me from carrying heavier wieghts and break my wrist in the process. How did I injure it? The same reason why I want it to heal quickly; gym. Speaking of gym, most people go to gym to lose weight or to buff themselves up. For me, I need to gain weight in order to buff myself up but no matter how hard i try, I can't seem to gain weight at all. Why???? I eat chocolates, fats of all kinds eg. Chicken, Pork, Beef, etc. Nothing seem to work. Argh~~ why is it so hard to gain weight??? :p There is the biggest loser, why can't there be a biggest winner? :p I know, that was lame.
Well, some of you know my birthday is coming up and I'm going to be 21 years old. As we grow older, we are beginning to reach the age where your parents will not support you anymore and you are on your own. One time, a group of my friends were talking about working life and it suddenly struck me in the head. How does it feel like to be totally independent where you have to work to make a living? Its a bit scary to me on how my future will be like or where am I going to work? Will I be able to stay in Australia after I graduate? I mean I've been relying on my parents for 21 years now..lol and I don't find myself ready to face the real world but I know I have to in order to survive as a person. But I am only 21!!!! I'm still young and I still want to enjoy life since you can't enjoy life anymore once you work. Eg: Morning work, come home in the evening tired, watch tv or play games maybe and then sleep. When friends ask you out, your reason, "I can't, I have work tomorrow" or "I'm tired from work today, maybe some other time".
I want to be successful in life, but I don't want to ruin my social life just to work work work and lose touch with my friends and my own family in the future. Good example of working life = the movie (You, Me & Dupree). Btw, its a good movie. A bit weird for me but good movie nonetheless. Have this issue ever cross your mind? I would like you hear your comments on this. If you are full time worker, how does it really feel to be working?

Yea~~ I missed Uni this morning for 2 reasons, oversleeping and forgetting about it. I guess my brain is still thinking holidays is still going on. My alarm clock rang continuously and I kept switching it off without noticing why I switched it on in the first place. When I finally realised, it was too late. Still I knew I can get to uni even though I will be late, but heh, I decided not to go. Bad habit and I should force myself to get up and pretend an exam will be going on. Oh and I need to sleep early too or this might never stop. Bad Heng/Nick. I need some spanking.
Well I am going to put some random stuffs on this post today.
Weird News/People
Remember Tohey's New Ad and the slogan "For the love of beer". Well, here is a news about an Australian man loving his beer so much, that when he fell off a cliff, he was still holding on to it.
Drunken Man Rescued After Falling Off Cliff, Still Clutching his Beer An Australian man visiting Vancouver had a near fatal encounter with a cliff side. The drunken tourist climbed a railing on the edge of the cliff in order to relieve himself, whilst holding his beer. He then lost his balance, and fell off the cliff. Luckily, some tree branches helped break his fall, and he hit the ground, only breaking one bone. Witnesses called 911, and rescuers were soon at the scene. As they approached the injured man, they saw that he was still holding on to his beer. In fact, throughout the ordeal, all the way back to the top of the cliff, he remained firmly attached to his alcoholic beverage. The fire department captain remarked, "Still in his hands, yup. He held on to it pretty tight."
I was like WOW!! He loved his beer so much more than trying to save his own life while falling, like trying to grab on something other than his beer can or bottle and still holding it tightly on the way back up the cliff. His reaction really fits the slogan "For the love of beer"
Curious Woman Deliberately Scales Fence into Occupied Tiger Cage A 19-year-old Irish woman is lucky to be alive after reportedly climbing in to a tiger cage. Despite the seemingly obvious danger and multiple barriers to getting into the cage, the woman was nonetheless determined. In order to see the tigers personally, the woman had to scale more than 6 feet of fencing, and a 4 foot high wall. She was evidently successful, as one of the tigers immediately lunged at her, causing critical injuries to her arm. The alarm was sounded, and the terrified woman was immediately pulled to safety. She was sent to a hospital, and is expected to recover from her injuries. When asked, the zoo officials stated that they did not intend to erect additional barriers.
How crazy is this? How can people don't think straight and do the craziest things that can actually kill them? Did this woman have a mental problem when approaching and entering the cage and got attacked then realised she might die?
Attack on UPM
This is a serious news about whats been going on in the Universities of Malaysia. Whether it is a racist attack or bums trying to look tough, they failed to impress me with 50 guys harrasing 7 others where 2 of them are girls. If they were alone walking on the streets, I think they will become cowards and pee in their pants when approached by others on the street. Still, this incident can happen to anyone and I don't blame it on any race. But the way things were handled and the authorities failed to address the issue saying it was a small misuderstanding is what disappointed me. The government is not doing anything about it when the 7 students filed a report. Why? Could it be because the report that is filed against were Malay's and to protect their own locals they closed one eye? If it was other race, would they do the same? I cannot see that happening really. With this tension going on, May 13 1969 may happen again which is a bad history in Malaysia. Also with people like those 50 bums/hooligans studying and behaving the way they are in uni, I also can't see any universities in Malaysia improving their standards worldwide. I also heard that because of this, most local graduates cannot get a job easily in Malaysia.

Yes. I got a job with suncorp stadium. Surprising eh? hehehe. Probably not. Well, to inform you all what kind of job it is, it's called a runner. What do I mean by that? Well, all I have to do is bring food to the customers in the corporate box while they are watching the games or bring alcohol to customers as they order it. Today, I was doing alcohol which was way much fun than bringing food to customers. The reason for that is, when you are posted in the food section, you have to wait in line outside the kitchen and once you are needed, you then only enter the kitchen and take the food to customers and line up again.
As for the alcohol section, I move around alot and continuously enter the fridge filled with alcohol and soft drinks and prepare drinks ordered by customers and deliver it to their room. Sounds easy isn't it? I can tell you, it is. I guess I never really enjoyed working before and this may be the first job that I like working. Especially the people I work with. Funny people as well as easy going, which includes my supervisor. Well, the match that day was Australia vs South Africa and from what I heard, South Africa got thrashed in that game. The atmosphere was excellent really. With the roar of the crowd and mexican waves. Still, I think football (soccer) would still produce a better atmosphere from the crowd such as chanting, singing together and so on. But thats just me :)
Oh...my supervisor is only 19 years old. The youngest among us which is probably the reason why he's a cool guy. I love working with him but then, my shift might switch around so...I will see if I have a chance to work with him again. Well I'm tired from working so I'll stop now. hehe. I'll update the site as soon as I can. Cheers ^_^

HELLOOOOOO~~~~ EVERYONE!! Well, Italy won the World Cup which was unexpected for me, but then again, they were one of the favourites to win as well. But about the incident over Zizu head butt on Materazzi can be debatable. FIFA said that the decision of the red card was not based on video evidence but was spotted by the fourth official on the sidelines. A fifth official was available to watch the video replay but was not allowed to intervene and the fourth official is not allowed to watch the replays to make a decision. What kind of rule is that? Still, what made Zidane explode is the question that is going on around everyone's mind and if Materazzi said something extremely bad, Zidane should have head butt the guy in the nose and break it, instead of the chest. I would applaud him for doing that. Well, the World Cup is over and its time to step away from football for a while till the new football season starts.
Lets begin with today. Today is not a very interesting day for me as I feel extremely lazy which is not exactly a nice feeling. I took an effort to call Suncorp stadium office to apply for a job there and I am sceduled to have an interview on Wednesday morning 10am. So early!!! I don't want to get out of bed but what can I do? I do need a job anyways and it would be nice if I can work on the day Robbie Williams visit Brisbane and performing in the Suncorp stadium and I could probably watch it for free. Even though I never really listen to his music, its free and why not? heh
Finally, after all these months, I took an effort to find a job but not too excited about it. Who would be excited about going to work anyways? I could be wrong. :p There are those that look forward to it. Still, Suncorp job won't be sufficient as the time I work are only during the time where there is a game going on. So, to kill more time and get more money, I'll need a second job. That is still in progress and I shall see if I'll pursue it further which I hope I will. Also went to Indooroopilly to change my phone line from a plan to a prepaid account. The bills were eating my cash away and an advice to people. A plan is not worth your money unless it is cheap. If it is not, better not get lured into it. I spend more money for that bloody phone than it is worth. Don't worry to those who think my number has changed. It has not.
Lets talk about another random thing. University stuff. I know, boring isn't it? Well first of all congratulations to those that did extremely well and those that passed their exams. For those who didn't, well... good luck with it again. As for me, I did alright. A bit better than I expected but what the hell. My GPA is already down the drain even if I do extremely well for my final semester here. Earlier today, I tried to enroll to the courses I intend to do for this new semester and what do I encounter? That one of them was not available or offered in the second semester which I think is needed to complete a second major. Bad luck? More like being lazy to check if it was offered or not. I choose subjects by not finding information about it because I feel that I don't need to, but more like picking them up blindly. Well, all has been well till this one happened. If I am not able to complete my second major as I intended, I'll just say "screw it" and just dump my plans of a second major away as I don't want to extend getting my degree for another semester. Whether that is going to happen, I need a reply from an advisor from UQ.
To those that don't know when uni starts, its on the 24th of July which is in two weeks time. Sorry to spoil the mood of holidays that you feel is going to last forever, it's back to reality for you and for me. heh. Hope you all enjoy your holidays as much as you can. Oh..Pirates of the Caribbean 2 was ok. A bit confusing on certain parts which may be explained next time, I would recommend those who haven't watch it to give it a go. But don't put too much expectations on it.

Italy vs Portugal or France??
OOOOKKKKK~~~~ my predictions just went down the drain with Italy going through to the finals. This is how football is like; nothing seems to be going the way you want it when the favourites to win the match loses. Lucky for me, I didn't bet money this year or I'll be having butterflies in my wallet. Oh look, that butterfly looks colourful coming out of other people wallet. Ahemz~
Football is hard to predict I would say. Italy was performing crap during the stages of the World Cup and barely beat Australia 1-0 with a lucky final 20 seconds penalty kick. Performance was hardly convincing and here they are into the finals with either France or Portugal beating the almighty Germans in their home soil. Same goes with France. They performed badly in the opening stages of the competition and never seem like breaking their 8 year goal drought and they manage to beat Brazil 1-0 dominating the match.
Did I mention about diving? Seem's like this match between Germany and Italy had alot of it. Sigh~ The slightest touch and they are on the floor and over reacting. How sad. Why don't you all just throw punches at each other while kicking the opponent balls instead of doing something fake. Heh..maybe thats going too far. Ignore that. Just something for me and you to laugh at. Probably...if you are laughing :p
Well I guess I won't be too surprise this time if Portugal beats France and go into the finals. It would be an interesting World Cup where all the Giants fall apart and Portugal win the finals. It'll be a shock to the world and also alot of money travelling to other stranger pockets. And the losers will be cursing their hearts out. Well thats football for you. Still I love the game and I always will.

Cheating in the World Cup
Ah yes, how can we forget people trying to cheat in the World Cup faking an injury when there is hardly any contact in the tackle or hand swinging around and players fall to the ground screaming in pain like as if their legs were broken. This is now a major issue in football where playing fair is the thing of the past.
Example of this in the current world cup is Thierry Henry falling to the ground when Puyol hardly touched him (France vs Spain) and the free kick led to a goal. Well Henry is not the only one while others are also doing it too in the last world cup such as Ronaldo or I think was Ronaldo faking as a ball hit his face from an unecessary hard kick from another player because Brazil was suppose to take a corner which the ball hit his shin but instead he grabbed his face and fall to the ground. As amusing as it is, it was stupid and Ronaldo (clarify: I think it is him) got caught for faking and got a yellow card. Well other players also do it over the years as well in club football.
FIFA said they will be doing something about it but till now nothing has really been done about it yet. I have a suggestion for them. How about letting the players cheat in the game and after the game, take action such as banning the player from playing 3 matches and a huge fine to discourage them from doing such play acting in the game. There is so many camera's around that video footage is not impossible to obtain. How about that FIFA? simple solution that you can use to experiment. If it works, excellent, if it doesn't, back to the drawing board.
Ok...time to be away from cheating to the semi final matches. Germany vs Italy and France vs Portugal. Who would have known Brazil actually got knocked out of the World Cup in the Quarterfinals when they were one of the favourites to win with having players such as Ronaldo, Ronaldino, Roberto Carlos, Cafu and others. World Class players such as England has. What happened for Brazil? Soccernet believed it was over confidence in the team. Everyone believe they were the champions again this year, and they sucked that in and played less effectively and underestimate their opponents and fell apart. I think it is a good single reason but then, there are others that state otherwise.
Well it doesnt matter now. Brazil is out and my prediction for the finals will be Germany vs France, but if Portugal gives a shock to France and head on to the finals, I'll accept that :) Anyways I'll end here. Cheerios and enjoy the World Cup. It is ending soon.

England out of the world cup
Must be sad news for the England fans as Portugal went through to the semi finals where England fell apart on penalties. Although it was known by most people with the way England played during the competition was less than satisfactory with the players they had and criticized that the chances of them winning the world cup was slim, still, this match against Portugal, they played extremely well.
Some of you might be cursing for Rooney's mistake for kicking the wrong balls and received a red card for his attitude and mistake, that might have led to the loss of England during that match. I would think he didnt deserve the red but its the referee who decides and it can't be changed. Those balls are the future of the player and his kids.
Although England was down to ten men after 60 minutes, they fought hard with lots of strength and good spirit and even had a couple of extremely good chances, but it wasn't their year or their day. It was all decided during the penalty shootout where England failed to score, as 3 out of 4 shots was saved by one man which I believe would be the man of the night and match; Ricardo. I would feel pity and sadness for Beckham as this year might be his last year leading England in the world cup, but cheer up Becks; you got a hot wife and 3 kids to look forward to. Not all is lost. As for the rest of the England team, hope your new manager will do better than the current one. Good luck in 2010.
When I was watching this match, me and my friends were at Pizzeria at Milton which I believe we were the only group that was supporting Portugal. When England lost in the game, the whole place was quiet except us cheering that Portugal went through as they were more consistant in their performance. Still, after Christiano Ronaldo scored the last penalty shot, we left immediately before the England fans there chase us out :p A well deserved win in any case for Portugal.
Next match Brazil vs France. This might be a classic match of 1998 World Cup. I would favour Brazil to win but anything can happen with football. We shall see what happens. OLE OLE OLE OLE!!!~~~~ Cheers.

Been having lack of sleep for the past few days. It's suppose to be the holidays and also the time where I can sleep as much as I want. Well, the reason for the lack of sleep have been because of me going out with friends alot these past few days and it has been an excellent time for me to be enjoying life that I didn't take the time to before. A good price to pay to have fun.
On Monday was playing games with a group of friends and got home abt 4am and slept at 5am. Because I wanted to go ice skating the next day with them had only abt 5 hrs of sleep as I was told to wake up at 10am. Reluctantly I got out of bed and got ready for them to pick me up and what do you know? They haven't woken up yet. Man!! I should have been like them and kept on sleeping. But ah well, Malaysians aren't usually punctual when it comes to a set time.
Of course ice skating was fun. Hadn't ice skate in a while and I believe I've gotten better in it. Although I did fall on my ass once or twice as I love to skate at fast speed and try to avoid banging into people in front of me. Sometimes I panic which I believe was the reason to me falling. Lose concentration and pop! my ass in on ice. The ice skating venue was freezing cold. It's like a freezer in there. I just stepped in and I can't stop myself from shaking. Knew I should have put on more clothes but can't blame myself for being half dead when I just woke up still tired. We spend almost 2-3 hrs skating and getting blisters. Still it was fun. After skating, we were off to Sunnybank to have lunch at a place called Malaya. The have big portions when it comes to food and most of us didn't finish our food except me, Johnathan and Joanna. After being satisfied, finally its time to go home and take a rest. Around 11pm I got a call to go to------->
KLUB KANDY
For those that stay in Brisbane know of this event pretty well. It's hosted by a group of people from Hong Kong and supported by a number of student associations. To be blunt, basically an Asian party. There was alot of people especially Asians and remarkably, less Australians. I would expect Australians to fill up the place as well but was not the case this time. It wasn't too bad compared to the previous one although I didnt show up for it where people can't even move inside the club. To move you have to squeeze your way through everyone. Too many people = crap party.
Since there was not alot of people, it was alright but still, I was tired to even really enjoy myself. Then when we were about to leave, some interesting show occured outside the club. 2 guys got beaten up by 5 other people for some stupid reason. But it doesn't seem to amaze me anymore. I see this most of the time when I go clubbing. Some idiot makes a mistake or did something stupid, then the other idiot just whacks him. Whether the guy getting whacked deserved it or not is another story. Still, some people just want to act tough in front of others.
Anyways, my head is spinning around at the moment so I'll end it here. Here will the highlight of my ending of this post. Those who study in UQ, results will most likely be out by 5th July. Good luck to all.

You must be wondering who this particular person is? I didn't know myself until I watched an emotional documentary about him. He was a man, a Japanese Diplomat, that I never knew such a man would exist in this world. During the WWII he saved 6000-10000 Jews by defying the Japanese government and risk his life and family against the Russians and the German Nazi by writing thousands of visa's 16 hrs a day for 4 weeks in order to allow the Jews to leave the country away from suffering and murders done by the Russians and the Germans during the war. During that time, he suffered the hardships and today the survivors saved by Sugihara honor him and cannot thank him enough for what he has done. If you would like to read more...here is the link.
Chiune Sugihara
I have full of respect for this man
